Changing reality

Once a year, when autumn comes into its own, and Moscow is back to its daily business rhythm, the event completely breaking this rhythm comes on a separate territory in the city center.

Top doll masters of the world create a hundred and fifty fairy worlds and on a dozen languages share the secrets of their extraordinary ability, describing the tricks on master-classes.

This year, due to introduction of the mysterious and ancient Mayan calendar chronology at the Salon, the Doll Space will cease to exist in the usual three dimensions. Astrologers of the ancient civilization believed that the astrological map of December 21, 2012 is unique - an extremely rare configuration of planets: the Earth's center will be on the same axis as the center of the galaxy, the Milky Way will cover our planet as the belt, opening a huge space portal.

The ancient Mayan calendar ends on the winter solstice of 2012, but this is just the boundary, beyond which there will be a deep transformation of consciousness: most people will perceive their divine nature and realize that we are all the one and our thoughts, words and actions can create another reality - what we today think of magic will become an everyday life.

A formula for the world’s original transformation "TIME IS ART", created by Maya, operates at the doll space since October 6, 2011, from the very first minute of the Salon of Dolls.

Organizers offer guests the main themes of 2011-2012.

2012 - transition to a new dimension. Ancient Maya civilization and its calendars. The Teachers and amazing prophecies, dolls, puzzles and mysteries.

The most fashionable - Author’s articulated doll. JOINT exclusive show and a special guest - a world star of articulated dolls Marina Bychkova with the premiere collection 2012.

"The Space and The Stars" - The World presentation of the doll, who returned from the space, and charity event, marking the 50th anniversary of the Yuri Gagarin’s flight.

Also: new works by the best Russian and foreign masters.

Comments of participants of the International Doll Salon
in Moscow:

Tine Kamerbeek, an artist, the member of NIADA (Holland):

– I International Doll Salon in Moscow had a great success! The level of the presented doll art was very high there! Wonderful appearance and organization of the Salon, the interest of Russian collectors to my art, warm and friendly welcome, the ability for artists to connect with each other – all these things are very important and they took place at the Salon. It is a great honor for me to show my dolls at the Salon, and I will take part at the next Doll Salon in Moscow!

Alexandra Koukinova, the owner and the chief artist of the Gallery "Alexandra":

– I am very glad that the 1st International Doll Salon took place. It was a bright and a large-scaled event in the "chamber" of Moscow doll life. During all three working days of the Salon, the exhibition hall was overcrowded. I heard people calling their friends, persuading them to give up whatever they were doing at the moment and to visit the Salon. Many people came to the exhibition several times – it was impossible to study all exhibits during one visit. I am sure that the 2nd Salon will be even more interesting, and I wish the organizers good luck!

Sasha Khudyakova, President of the Doll Artists Association, attached to the Moscow Artists Union:

- Salon demonstrated how large the process, taking place at the Russian doll market, is. Salon attracted an extraordinary number of professionals and amateurs as well as people who came upon the doll art for the first time. In general, an event of such scale shows that the attitude towards the doll making in Russia becomes more serious.

Karina Shanshieva, Director of Gallery:

- Such Salon is a necessary, useful and long-awaited event in Russia. I am glad that I've discovered new authors here. It is interesting that this exhibition is so large. Obviously, the Salon's organizers have made a lot - it is always nice when heart and soul are put into such performance. I think that this Doll Salon has the future!

Irina Myzina, the director of Vakhtanov Doll Gallery:

- Vakhtanov Gallery was presented at the Salon by the project "Visitors in the country of Lilliputians" - remarkable life-size dolls by artist Irina Zakharova, made in one-of-a-kind. Dolls are made from the grounded textile. Such level of work was made for the first time in Russia. Moreover, dolls-photos of the best artists of Gallery have been presented at exposition: Dima ÏÆ, Olga Egupets, Alla Beljaeva, Galina Saksonova, Natalia Pobedina. I still have good impressions about the general level of dolls of the Salon. Artists from other cities of Russia have shown worthy works. The International Doll Salon in Moscow is rather dimensioned event. Not all artists have understood the concept and a format of the Salon, but people have looked and have seen, have drawn conclusions for next year. I wish organizers and artists success!
