Tishinskaya Square, 1; Moscow

For 4 days once a year Moscow becomes the center of pilgrimage for lovers and collectors of art dolls – a most beautiful and bright genre of contemporary art. The Moscow Doll Salon – the greatest doll show in Russia – will be held in our capital for the sixth time. The viewers will be able to see all the best, the most talented, original and valuable. Lots of charity actions, master classes, art projects will take place within the Salon.

Visitors will have a chance to see, to buy, to photograph everything exhibited at the Salon, even to participate in the process of creation. Dolls leave no one emotionally indifferent, they are to be taken very seriously: an art doll is a reflection of the inner world of a human being, its dreams and illusions, its ideas of perfection and fantasies of other worlds. Each doll expresses a whole specter of sensations and emotions which make one thrill and admire – just like any other work of art. People fond of dolls have, as a rule, a subtle and exquisite perception of life. Among those who collect dolls are such famous people (pop-stars, businessmen, politicians) as Anita Tsoy, Vladislav Tretyak, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Yana Rudkovskaya, Ilze and Andris Liepa, Andrey Makarevich, Alexander Livshitz, Demi Moor, Bruce Willis, Woody Goldberg, and others.

Here are some projects that are on the program of the Salon:

- By the 300th anniversary of the State Memorial “Tzarskoye Selo” it was decided to restore the children's chambers of the Tzar's palace, and the authorities of the museum appealed to doll artists. Since 1904 Alexandrovsky Palace was a constant place of residence and a beloved home of Emperor Nickolay II who was born there (in 1868) – that's why he was very fond of it. He lived there for the last 13 years of his reign, from there the royal family was taken to Tobolsk – to exile. The first floor of the palace used to be occupied by the Great Princesses and Prince Alexey. There were their bedrooms and the Prince's playing room. An exposition with the restored interiors was open in 1997, and today the visitors can have an idea of the life of the royal family. For the first time a luxurious collection of dolls that belonged to the Tzar's children will be exhibited at the Salon.

- For the first time in Russia! Dolls by famous artists from Mexico and China!

- Masterpieces by Russian and foreign painters - “Children with Toys”!

- Master classes on all kinds of doll making – the secrets of porcelain dolls, sculpting on plastics, painting, teddy bears, and a lot of other crafts. Such classes always attract both adults and children. Famous artists will show how they create masterpieces.

- The company “Russian Teddy Style”, an official partner of the “Star Dolls Parade”, will present a charity project “A Bear from a Star”. Famous people together with teddists make bears, putting the warmth of their souls into them. Visitors will be able to buy those bears made by stars – and thus help to save children with serious health problems. You'll see teddy bears by Alla Pugachova, Maxim Galkin, Grigoriy Leps, and others.

The purpose of the Salon is to make a holiday, so that every guest would enjoy the unique exposition. There will be space to relax – comfortable sofas where you'll be able to talk with the artists.
